Make Today Amazing

Hello there,  hope you're having a lovely day.

Here's today's card, made using the Sunnie Stamp from Daisy B.  It's a lovely large stamp that is easy to colour.

This time I used my Inktense I'm blocks to colour her, but could easily have used pencils or pens.

Stamped in Versafine Clare, the stamp is a lovely bold outline that could also be paper pieced.  How would you colour her in?

Jewelled Lashes

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1zosd5L3bRgOHM6iTaBfLzZnAToz3UNlB

Here we have Jewelled Lashes which is a stamp by Daisy B Stamps.

The card is 8”x8” so you can see how big the stamp is.

I stamped the main image in Grey Versafine and coloured using my Inktense blocks.  The sentiment is stamped in Versafine Clare.  I added jewels and decorated with Nuvo Drops and Glossy Accents.

Thanks for looking.

Chill with music

Lockdown can be a really stressful time - I like to chill out in my craft room with my inks and paints - some like to listen to music - why not do both?

Here’s my Chill card made using one of Picket Fence Studios Beautiful Girls stamp and the Chill sentiment from Sunshine Bee Designs.

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1LJsCHziFuJkgi-hJRHo9LUgOwzs0aIlR

I stamped the girl on a small piece of card using black onyx Versafine and coloured in with watercolours. I then fussy cut it out.

Using Distress Oxides I made 2 backgrounds, one in hickory smoke, the other in the denim blue.

To give the background depth, I second generation stamped an old music score stamp out of my stash randomly on the blue background using Smokey Grey Versafine, randomly.

I cut this layer to fit nicely inside the grey background and applied silver Gilding wax around the outside, then mounted onto a black layer.

Next glue the Beautiful Girl onto the bottom Left corner.

Stamp the Chill stamp using Black Versafine onto the blue background.

Attach all the layers together and add to an A5 card blank.

All done - hope you enjoy using these techniques.

Bye for now

Deer in a snow globe

Hi everyone, Maria here with another idea for a card using the Winter Wonderland stamp set from Colourific.
Here's what you will need:

A5 Winter Wonderland stamp set
1 sheet red card
1 sheet stamping card
Silver mirror card
Snow globe and circle cutting die
Versafine Onyx Black
Clear Glitter Glue
Water colour paints
Gold Gilding Wax
Paper mask or liquid masking fluid
Water colour paints

Here's How I made it:
1. Die cut 3 Snow Globes in Dark Red card and one in stamping card
2. Die cut 1 circle in the middle of one of the red globes and one in white stamping card.
3. Stamp the image of the reindeer in the centre of the white stamping card circle and mask the reindeer.
4. Watercolour the blue sky, then remove the mask and paint the reindeer.
5. On a separate piece of stamping card, stamp a few of the medium and small Christmas Trees, water colour them in and fussy cut them out.
6. Glue the trees onto the circle and draw in some snow hills using the clear Glitter Glue.  Add some glitter to the trees and dot the sky to give snow.
7. Once dry, stick this circle to one of the red complete snow globes.
8. Add mirror card behind the base of the globe with the cut out circle, then apply the gold Gilding Wax to almost cover the red card.
9. Glue this frame onto the top of the globe with the topper on.
10. On the third snow globe, make a fold 1 cm from the top of the globe and attach this base to the decorated globe by gluing the 1cm at the top of the globe.  This will enable the globe to stand up like a card.

That's it, all done

Penguin Agenda 1

Hi everybody

OK, so I got some new stamps from The Little Paper Tree and I can't put them down, so today I've done 3 different cards for you,  This is the first - Penguin Agenda 1 using the Penguin Palace - Penguin Agenda stamp set which is one of the new stamp sets from The Little Paper tree.  Use my discount code 'mariapapertree' for 10% discount at the checkout.

It's only small but it's so cute.

This is what you will need:

White Card cut to size 4"x4"
White stamping card
Clear embossing powder
Watercolour Paints
Circle die cut
3D foam pads
Clear glitter glue

How I did it
  1. I chose the Party Dress coloured ink pad out of the Catherine Pooler minis ink set and blended a circular shape in the middle of the square card.  I made the colour more intense in the middle and blending out to nothing.
  2. I cut a circle with one of my die cuts in my stash and stamped the castle just to the right of the middle in black versafine then embossed with a clear embossing powder.
  3. I then stamped and embossed and cut out leaving a small white border the winking penguin and an ice cream on a separate piece of white stamping card.
  4. I used my watercolour paints to colour in the images and painted in a green hill underneath the castle.
  5. The penguin was attached to the  circle using 3D foam pads, then the circle was attached to the centre of the blended pink on the card blank.  Make sure you can see the pink coming out from under the circle - if you can't add more ink to your card blank.
  6. To finish off the card, I added a highlight to the castle windows, flags and the ice cream using a clear glitter glue.  Then add the 'Love ya' stamp from the Picket Fence Studios Part of the Pack stamp set.
Watch out for the next one - coming soon.

Part of the Pack

Part of the Pack

Here is my Part of the Pack card that was made using the Part of the Pack stamps by Picket Fence Studios.  This stamp is packed full of stamps - 8 in total and is very versatile.

I stamped the image onto 6" square piece of stamping card and coloured using Nuvo alcohol pens and highlighted areas with my coloured pencils.  I painted in some green grass using a green watercolour paint to ground the dogs.  I added the sentiment and drew a border around the card with a black fine liner adding crosses in the corners and three dots a little higher up on each line. I then mounted it up onto black and sparkle green card and adhered it onto an 8" square card.

Here is another one I made for a friend leaving work.  I added my own sentiment using alphabet letters and a border stamp from my stash and some green backing paper.

Woof and all that Tag

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1TMBZUXJU6XhRlBTEtELdYBL3UmMNbpqc
A little bit of black and white today.  HereIs one of the little dogs drawn by Tracey Hey.  I used black onyx Versamark ink to stamp the image onto spare card, coloured the image using watercolours and fussy cut it out.  I die cut a black tag and splodged it with white gesso. A little bit of silver gilding wax around the outside really contrasts well with the black and white. I stamped the Woof and all that sentimentand cut it out.  Both images were glued onto the tag. Black and white ribbon were added to as a final touch.

He just needs a name now!

I need a holiday - thank you card for Teacher

Good morning,
It’s getting near the end of term at school - anyone want ideas for a thank you card for a Teacher. Here is mine:
What you need:

Card base - I used a 7x7 card base but you can easily change the backing papers to fit whatever size you choose

Silver card
Patterned backing papers from your stash
Stamping card
Distress Oxides - I used 3 in pinks and purples but you can choose your own preference
Versafine black ink pad
Robot stamp is one of Doodlins by Donna - available on her Etsy site
Border stamp from the set of bee stamps from Bee Crafty
Small button die or buttons
Double sided Tape - tacky glue
Paintbrush
Foam pads
White gel
Tiny gems

Here’s what I did:
Firstly I stamped the robot image into stamping card and  used my oxides to colour him in, then detail cut him out (apart from the antenna).

Next, I took my three oxides, stamped them into my blending mat and spritzed them with water.  I then swiped and dabbed a piece of stamping card A6 sized  through it.  Dry this off thoroughly with your heat gun or leave to dry naturally.  Once dry, I splatted the same colours onto the top using a brush and dried it off again.

I stamped the Robot again, using the Versafine pad, onto the middle of the background and using the darkest oxide randomly stamped some of the background images from Donnas stamps onto the background and stamped one of the Bee Crafty Borders round the outside if this card.

Next, glue the already cut out robot over the top of the stamped background card so that the antennas are in the correct place.  I then used my white gel pen and gems to highlight areas of the Robot.

Finally, layer up the patterned paper and silver card on a jaunty angle (I used double sided tape) and put your robot on top. Add the die cut buttons to the corners and stamp, mat and layer a sentiment to finish off your card.

I hope that made sense, please let me know how you go on!
See ya l8r
